Indian Politics - We Need to Question the Status Quo!

Date: 29th Aug 2018

There are no debates on the street, there are brawls and riots. Debates and discussions occur in the neighborhoods and at dinner tables. As the next elections are closing in, the politicians are out abusing their power. Without an opinion gathering or a critical assessment and without a clear opinion on people’s real problems they’re out lecturing us on how to live our lives! When they attain power through money, they’re bound to abuse it.

There need to be discussions and open debates on all issues. And all solutions have to be closely verified and validated before acceptance. Unfortunately, people remain in the dark about what’s happening around them. How can we blame them?!

Not them, we are to be blamed. It’s our fault. Our fault is that we stopped talking to each other. We stopped taking care of ourselves and our own. We stopped protecting our rights, our freedoms, our values, our land and our environment. This needs to change before we can change the country.

Ask the politicians as to what their opinions and stances are on people’s problems.

What is their stance on reforming the reservation system? What is their stance on the skyrocketing cost of living? Why are they taxing us to death on Petrol and Diesel? Do they think that a school bus is a luxury? And do us a favor, and please explain your stance and opinion on Aadhaar linking, Demonetization and GST.

Ask the politicians as to what their opinions and stances are on people’s problems. This election, let’s question, the status quo.
